About Me

I’m Clément Poumeyrol, a French wildlife photographer based in Finland for over a decade. Surrounded by vast boreal forests, quiet lakes, and elusive northern wildlife, I’ve learned to observe, understand, and quietly admire this secret world — a last refuge of beauty, fragility, and wonder.

My photography is shaped by fleeting moments: a silent stare, a play of light, a silent apparition in the morning mist. Through light and shadow, I aim to capture emotion in a glance, and the quiet harmony between animals and the environments they move through.

Over the years, I’ve explored not only the northern wilderness but also tropical rainforests and remote coastal islands. Yet Finland remains my anchor. I now collaborate closely with Finnish nature photography providers and lead photography workshops in Kuusamo and beyond, offering others a chance to experience and photograph the magic of the North.

Today, I’m driven by a simple yet essential goal: to bring the wonder of the natural world closer to others. Through my lens, I hope to spark a deeper connection with the wild — one that inspires awareness, admiration, and a quiet urgency to protect what remains fragile and irreplaceable.
